Description Small Ming-period scholar’s brush washer, crisply carved from a single block of huanghuali. The melon-lobed exterior encloses a recessed circular well, the rim softly rounded from centuries of handling. Honey-brown figure with darker “ghost-face” graining and a silky wax patina.
