This is an original 1861 Kabuki action print by Toyokuni III (Utagawa Kunisada) from his final series, One Hundred of the Best (Jōsha Hyakuchū). The complex scene captures three actors in a moment of intense, physical struggle within a wooden room, highlighted by the striking plaid costume of the fallen figure.
