A delicate Meiji-era hand-painted bijin-ga depicting a noblewoman with a fan beside an elaborate lacquered basket. Rendered in soft washes and fine brush lines, the work reflects Nihonga refinement rather than commercial ukiyo-e printing. Despite foxing, it remains an elegant example of late 19th-century feminine portraiture.
