| Description | These blue and white porcelain Kamcheng (Hokkien for ‘covered jar’ jar with lid, were used for storing water, oil,, food and pickles. Painted with lotus flowers and scrolling vines which symbolise harmony and integrity, and topped with a lion knob known as a guardian lion for protection. The blue color is thought to symbolize heaven, and the white symbolizes purity. |
