Chen Chao-Pao 陳朝寶 (1948–2026) was a Taiwanese artist, cartoonist, and educator whose career spanned more than five decades. First gaining national recognition through his pioneering work in comics, he later devoted himself to painting, ink art, and mixed media, developing a distinctive visual language that bridged Eastern and Western artistic traditions.

After spending many years in France, Chen absorbed a wide range of international influences while remaining deeply connected to the cultural heritage of Taiwan and China. His works explored themes drawn from history, literature, spirituality, and human experience, combining technical mastery with imagination and intellectual depth.

Throughout his life, Chen Chao-Pao (陳朝寶) exhibited widely and earned recognition as one of Taiwan’s notable contemporary artists.
