Description White porcelain covered jar lavishly decorated with a vigorous iron-red mythical animal, possibly a Fu dog or lion, set against the white ground. The detailed, overglaze enamel work, accented by small touches of green and yellow, is characteristic of the Daoguang period. The base bears a finely written iron-red six-character Imperial seal mark.
